Nicole Messier (soprano) is an active voice teacher in the Twin Cities area.  While maintaining a private studio in Saint Paul, she also works with students at the Saint Paul Academy and Summit School and Robbinsdale's Armstrong High School. In addition to her Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Missouri--Kansas City, Nicole holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lawrence University. Performance credits include: Blanche in Dialogues des Carmélites with UMKC Opera Theatre; Magda in The Consul with Lawrence University Opera Theater; Principessa in Suor Angelica with Lawrence University Opera Theater; Katisha in The Mikado with Lawrence University Opera Theater; and Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Lawrence University Opera Theater.

 

Nicole has had the privilege of studying Italian vocal technique under the tutelage of master teachers such as Mary Kay Schmidt, Dr. Rebecca Sherburn, John DeHahn, and Signore Rita Patane of Milan, Italy.  She has also had the good fortune to explore Alexander Technique with Brian McCullough.
